An Eventful Progress

It was not a dance or music programme by popular artists in the packed to the capacity  indoor stadium of Dumra. It was a ceremonial transfer of money to the beneficiaries of Lohia Swachch Bihar Abhiyan. The toilet incentive of Rs 12000 was directly transferred to the beneficiary’s account. The Event organized by District Magistrate of Sitamarhi Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Singh. By this camp he managed to make more than Rs 100 crore distributed. It was the incentive money for the households who made toilet in their homes. This record breaking event was a result of the hard work of sitamarhi team under the leadership of District Magistrate. Total 113 crore of incentive amount was distributed through that camp to beneficiaries from all the 17 blocks of the district in presence of officials and some local political representative of the district.

Earlier the same team set a record in pit digging campaign for individual household toilets under the same scheme, one lakh and ten thousand pits were made in a single day.

These events were very impactful, like a tool for high impact campaigns and IEC activities.
